Plovdiv is one of my favorite cities in Bulgaria!

Every time I visit, I get so excited and want my stay there to be top-notch. That’s why I am very picky when it comes to choosing restaurants and accommodation.
My friends and I decided to spend a short weekend there, so we started looking for a place to stay for one night. We trusted our go-to source, Booking, and there were plenty of options. To be honest, I was looking for something of good quality at a reasonable price for just one night. I’m not sure why, but among the many options for hotels, apartments, and more, my attention was caught by Skerzzo Guesthouse! So, we made a reservation, mainly because of its great location—right in the heart of the city, just a 5-minute walk from Central Square and Trimontium Hotel, and also because it had parking.

We had reserved a room for two and a studio for one person. The hotel is located in a historic building with a very beautiful and well-maintained facade.
While we were checking in, the friendly young man at the reception mentioned that the studio was “a bit more compact” than the other rooms. I imagined something like a matchbox, but I thought to myself that I wouldn’t be riding a horse there and that it was just for one night.
Believe me, when I entered the studio, I was absolutely stunned—it was nothing like I had imagined a studio to be!

Opening the door, a huge room appeared before me, with a kitchenette, a dining table and 3 chairs, a wardrobe, a large bed, a bathroom, and a toilet, as well as a very cozy little space with two armchairs and a small table, plus a TV. It was like a studio apartment! I also visited my friends’ apartment – here, everything was double the size!

Additionally, Wi-Fi is provided throughout the hotel free of charge and with very good speed. Parking is available right across from the hotel. It has a total of 6 rooms, which are extremely modern and clean. All guest rooms are equipped with a seating area and television.

The hotel is located 1.2 kilometers from Nebet Tepe and is just a short distance from The Bear. Balabanova House is nearby. This hotel is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Plovdiv University is about 500 meters from the Singing Fountains. One small downside is that it doesn’t have its own restaurant, but there are plenty of eateries around the area. It is situated in an extremely quiet and peaceful neighborhood.

I recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Plovdiv in an incredible and unique way and feel the spirit of the city by visiting this little gem hidden in the heart of Plovdiv! It’s perfect for both leisure trips and business travel. The prices are affordable, and I can say that it’s a very budget-friendly place to stay, with an excellent value for money!
My rating: 9.5/10
