Tallinn is a city that skillfully blends its medieval charm with the modern feel of a Nordic metropolis. Among the many hotels in the Estonian capital, Metropol Spa Hotel stands out with its excellent location, calm atmosphere, and strong focus on relaxation and comfort. I chose this hotel for my stay because of its proximity to the Old Town, the port, and the positive reviews that promised a pleasant balance between quality and price. While the rooms don’t offer anything particularly impressive in terms of interior design, the cleanliness, good service, and tasty breakfast more than make up for it. And if I had had a bit more time, I would definitely have spent a few hours in the spa center, which is one of the hotel’s main highlights.

📍 Where is it located?
The hotel is located in an excellent spot—in a quiet yet central part of Tallinn, just a short walk from the Old Town and the main sights. The area is peaceful, while still offering easy access to public transport, shops, and restaurants. It’s easy to reach both from the central railway station and by taxi from the airport.
🛏️ First impressions and check-in
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the clean and modern interior of the lobby, which creates a sense of order and calm. The check-in process was quick and well organized, and while I can’t say that the receptionist was particularly polite or welcoming, everything went smoothly and without unnecessary waiting—which is always a pleasant start to a stay.

🛌 The room – comfort, style, and amenities
The rooms are fairly standard—not particularly impressive in terms of design, but functional and clean. The bed was comfortable, the Wi-Fi stable, and the soundproofing good, which is important for a hotel in the city center. The interior is simple and minimalist, typical of Scandinavian style, without standing out with anything special.

🍽️ Breakfast and dining
The breakfast definitely deserves praise—varied and tasty, with enough options for both traditional and healthier choices. There were fresh fruits, vegetables, hot dishes, and good-quality coffee—a great start to the day, especially before exploring Tallinn.
🧖♀️ Services and amenities
The main highlight of Metropol Spa Hotel is its spa area—modern and spacious, with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, and several types of saunas. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to try it due to limited time, but it definitely looks like a major plus for future guests.

The hotel also offers parking, a fitness center, and opportunities for relaxation after a long day in the city.
🧳 Who is it suitable for?
Metropol Spa Hotel is an excellent choice for couples, business travelers, or tourists looking for a peaceful stay close to the city center. It’s also well suited for those who value a good balance between price and comfort, without necessarily seeking luxury.

💸 Price and value for money
The hotel offers good value for money. Considering the amenities, location, and the quality of the breakfast, the price is fully justified—especially if you take advantage of promotions or early booking offers.
📝 My summary
Metropol Spa Hotel is a safe and comfortable choice for a stay in Tallinn—without unnecessary luxury, but with everything needed for a pleasant weekend or a short break. If I had had more time, I would definitely have spent an hour or two in the spa area, which looks impressive. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet hotel in a good location with reliable quality.
If I return to Tallinn one day, I would most likely try staying at a different hotel—this one was good and I have no complaints, but overall it didn’t truly win me over.
