The Terracotta Army has always sparked my curiosity, yet I deliberately chose never to delve deeply into its history beforehand, so that I could truly discover it in the very moment I stood before it in person. I wanted that first encounter to feel like a surprise to myself — without prior knowledge, without built-up expectations, guided only by sensation. When I finally came face to face with the thousands of clay soldiers, I realized that this decision had been entirely worth it. Even after leaving the museum, their story continued to hold me captive. Now I cannot wait to share what I saw and experienced, and also to arrange the facts that give meaning to this silent army —
